The tension between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has certainly mellowed.
It's been six months since the Maleficent actress filed for divorce from theMoneyball star and, after quite a bit of mudslinging from both sides, the former flames have made peace. Oooh, go on!
According to People, Pitt and Jolie are finally speaking directly to each other again. One insider revealed:
"He's much happier. He's very relieved that things are not playing out in public anymore."
In case you forgot, things were getting quite heated between Brangelina at the end of last year as their contentious court documents continued to make headlines. However, in January, the Mr. and Mrs. Smith costars decided to enlist a private judge to oversee their divorce and custody battle so that they could have more privacy.
The confidant added:
"It was a rough time, but they were able to resolve it. This is a work in progress."
We're glad to hear it! As for Brad's feelings toward Angie?? Well, it seems like the Hollywood hunk is just eager to have a cordial relationship with the mother of his kids. The source noted:
"He's always been extremely positive about how Angie's a good mother, and the goal was to resolve everything for the kids and the whole family, and they're working toward that."
Phew! As you surely remember, the 53-year-old's parenting skills were called into question when he was investigated by the FBI AND Child Protective Services for an incident involving his son, Maddox. Pitt's name has since been cleared by both organizations.
So, now that things with Angelina are better, is Brad spending more time with his six kids?? According to a different tipster, the answer is… YES! The second source told the mag:
"He is spending more time with the kids when they are in L.A. He has even spent some time with Maddox and Pax. Things are definitely calming down."
We honestly couldn't be happier for Brad!
